A U.S. Marine was killed and 18 other people were left injured in a vehicular rollover accident at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Calif. on Thursday afternoon.

"The command's priorities are to take care of the Marines, Sailors and families of the unit," 1st Lt. Colleen McFadden, spokesperson and public affairs officer of 1st Marine Division, said in a statement, according to NBC San Diego.

The incident took place during a routine training at the camp. The name of the deceased Marine will not be disclosed for 24 hours until the relatives have been informed of his death, which is standard Marine Corps policy.

The extent of the injuries sustained by the victims was not released as well, according to the Associated Press.

McFadden adds that they are making sure the Marines and their family members "are being provided for during this difficult time," according to the Los Angeles Times.

No other details have been made available at this time, and an investigation regarding the incident is currently underway.
