Stephen Curry's little brother Seth has been waiting for a shot to prove that he can be a solid NBA player. He may not become the star that Steph is, but Seth has enough talent to be able to carve his own path in the NBA. After a tremendous summer league performance Curry was receiving offers from a lot of teams but ultimately decided to sign with the Sacramento Kings where he will spend the 2015-16 season. One of the teams Curry decided not to play for was reportedly the Golden State Warriors, according to Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated.

Besides the Kings and Warriors, the Charlotte Hornets and the New Orleans Pelicans also had interest in Curry. Curry played for the Pelicans summer league team but was given a better offer from the Kings which he accepted. Curry had a chance to join his brother in Golden State but decided against it because he wants to be his own player in the NBA and not be compared to his brother, the reigning MVP of the league.

"I didn't want to go to Golden State, I didn't want to go back in Steph's shadow," said Curry.

The 25-year-old combo guard had been with the Warriors in training camp back in 2013 but was cut before the season started. That was back before his brother had become one of the biggest stars in the league, and since then Seth has been with four different teams, the Kings being his fifth, after the Warriors. Seth has been on the NBA roster of three different teams over the past two years but has only played in four games for a total of 21 minutes.

Curry really showed well in this year's summer league when he led the whole league in scoring by averaging 24.3 points per game. Not only did Curry score a ton during the summer league, but he proved he is not just a jump shooter as he scored in a variety of different ways. With the Kings Curry is the third point guard on the depth chart behind Rajon Rondo and Darren Collison but still figures to get playing time to provide some outside shooting. Curry finally looks like he will make an NBA roster to start a season, now it is just a matter of taking advantage of the opportunity so he can get out from under his brothers shadow at least a little bit.
