Stephen Curry has quickly become one of the biggest stars in the NBA after winning the league MVP last season and helping the Golden State Warriors win the NBA Championship. Curry will be the 54th highest paid player in the NBA this year despite all of his success a season ago and he is set to become a free agent after the 2016-17 season but Curry reportedly has absolutely no interest in hitting the free agent market, according to Jimmy Spencer of the Sporting News.

Curry signed a four year $44 million deal with the Warriors before the 2013-14 season and that will last for the next two seasons. Despite being due a huge pay increase Curry doesn't even want to hit the free agent market because he loves where he's at right now.

"As I am thinking right now, free agency isn't really appealing to me because I love where I'm at, love the organization I'm playing for, and the Bay Area is home for me and my family," said Curry.

Curry later went on to say that part of the reason he feels this way is because the Warriors are the reigning world champions and he wants to be able to focus on the present and not the future. Saying you don't want to be a free agent would typically hurt your ability to negotiate a contract but that likely won't be the case for Stephen Curry. When the time comes the Warriors will make whatever roster maneuvers they need to make in order to be able to offer Curry a contract for the maximum amount of money and the maximum amount of years.

When Curry's current contract runs out he will be 29 years old and will likely have plenty of great years left in him so the Warriors will be able to confidently pay him. Curry is a bargain for the next two years and although he won't be after that it has to be nice for Golden State and their fans to hear that he has no plans to go anywhere else.

Last season the MVP averaged 23.8 points, 7.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and a whopping 44 percent from three.
