Yahoo has rolled out a mobile app for newly-launched iOS 7, which includes several features like cinemagraphs, read-later, breaking news and more.

The anticipated launch of iOS 7 Wednesday, prompted several app developers to introduce new apps for the latest Apple operating system. It is not surprising that Yahoo has rolled out a new update considering its interest in mobile apps, of late. The web company announced Wednesday that the new update for iOS 7 Yahoo app will include several attractive features for a personalized experience.

The new update for Yahoo iOS app includes animated cinemagraphs, "My Saves" feature, a new breaking news category and simplified, faster navigation throughout the app, Fernando Delgado, Yahoo senior director of product management, mobile, and emerging products, said in a blog post.

"Today, we've added new features along with animated cinemagraphs that make Yahoo for iPhone and iPod touch an even better experience for discovering and reading content whether in the moment or saving for later. And it's designed for iOS 7," he wrote.

With the new "My Saves," users will be able to save their content to read later with a single tap of a button. The feature will also make its way to the desktop in the coming days so users can save favorite content on desktop and read it later on their phones.

Yahoo also included new breaking-news category so users do not miss out on the trending news and updates. The information gets automatic updates in real-time with time-stamps.

The news articles on the app will feature story-relevant pictures and some will also include "cinemagraphs," which gives animated live photos "that bring story to life," Delgado explained. Yahoo also tweaked the app design "to make it cleaner, faster and more engaging." By doing so, the app will now function faster than before for switching categories.

The updated version 3.2 Yahoo! iOS app is available for download via iTunes for free.
