Not to be outdone by her Republican opponents, Hillary Clinton has booked her first appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

NBC announced on Tuesday that Fallon will welcome the Democratic presidential hopeful on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for her first late-night appearance since announcing her White House run this past April. Her last late-night appearance came in July 2014 on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" (she also shot a short cameo for Stewart's final episode).

Of course, Clinton is no stranger to the late-night scene. She made several noteworthy appearances on "Saturday Night Live" during the 2008 election as well as interviews with Jay Leno and David Letterman during her first presidential campaign.

"The Tonight Show" has already hosted GOP contenders Jeb Bush and Chris Christie. Donald Trump is scheduled to make his first appearance this Friday.

The race to book presidential candidates for their first late-night appearances is heating up as Fallon starts to compete with Stephen Colbert and "The Late Show" starting tonight. Colbert has already booked Bush for his first show and Clinton's toughest opponent in the Democratic race, Bernie Sanders, will sit down with the new host next week.

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
