UPDATE:

"Bing-a-ling," as the animal rescue called him, finished 2015 in a new home! Congratulations, Bing!

--

Meet Bing! Tiny 6-pound Bing is only 7-months-old and is already crate trained, housetrained and so lovable! Bing, a terripoo (terrier/poodle mix), is looking for his fur-ever home and is Headlines and Global News' Rescue Pet of the Week.

Bing is currently being fostered at Haven Animal Rescue in Phoenix at a dog rescue run by a contributor to HNGN, Tracy. Tracy told HNGN and Pets Happy Zone that Bing is "silly" and "sweet."

Bing, along with his siblings and 9-pound mama Elizabeth, were "dumped" in a border town and originally picked up by the Humane Society of Yuma. Elizabeth did the best she could to take care of her stranded lot, but she and her babies all had ringworm when they were found. Ringworm is highly contagious and infected dogs are routinely euthanized at animal shelters, according to Tracy. Yuma wanted to give Bing and company the best chance at life - that's when Yuma called Haven Animal Rescue.

Bing and his family are all now ringworm free (after four months of treatments). They have gotten the "thumbs up" for adoption from a canine dermatologist, Tracy said. Bing is expected to gain another two pounds as he goes from puppy to full-grown canine.

"Bing is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, has his rabies vaccine, the series of four 5-in-1 vaccines (includes distemper, parvo, parainfluenza and adenovirus type 2) and his Bordetella vaccine," Tracy told HNGN. "He is a dog's dog and loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He is also great with the cats and has met chickens with no incidents as well. He is crate trained, housebroken, non-shed and loves to cuddle with his foster parents. Bing really enjoys squeaky toys, rope toys to chew on and Puppuccinos at Starbucks."
