Age has never been just a number in Hollywood. Thirty-two-year-old actress Anne Hathaway first made a splash on the big screen in "The Princess Diaries" when she was only 19-years-old. The actress opened up to Glamour U.K. about what it was like growing older in Hollywood and how she lost out on roles to younger actresses.

"I can't complain about it because I benefitted from it. When I was in my early twenties, parts would be written for women in their fifties and I would get them. And now I'm in my early thirties and I'm like, 'Why did that 24-year-old get that part?' I was that 24-year-old once, I can't be upset about it, it's the way things are," Hathaway told the magazine.

The Academy Award winner admitted that the young talent in movies floored her recently, according to the New York Daily News. "I look around at my peers and I'm so blown away by their talent and their beauty and their cool style, as well as their ability to be an actress and be a movie star and be good at it," she said.

Her latest movie, "The Intern," also stars Robert De Niro and is due out Sept. 25, according to People.
