"Captain America: Civil War" will feature basically every superhero we've come to know in the Marvel Cinematic universe as well, as a few new ones. But will it feature Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk?

The last we saw of the character he was flying off into exile at the conclusion of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (when did The Hulk, a giant rage monster, learn to pilot a technically advanced Quinn Jet?). Where was he heading? Ruffalo says you'll have to wait to find out.

"The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War)," Ruffalo told BadTaste.it. "I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don't want to reveal where is he and why. I don't even know if Hulk will be back soon."

Hmm, interesting, very interesting.

Despite having good intentions, the Hulk is a viable threat to the public when he loses control, as seen in "Age of Ultron." Banner recognized this, which is why he chose to go into self-imposed exile. However, this being the MCU and with Thanos on the way, there's no doubt fans will see him again in the near future. It just doesn't sound as if his reemergence will take place in "Captain America: Civil War."

The threequel in the Cap series will find the Star Spangled Avenger at odds with Tony Stark's Iron Man, which results in a schism between the MCU's greatest heroes. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, Anthony Mackie's Falcon, Paul Bettany's Vision, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, Don Cheadle's War Machine, Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet With will all be present. On the villain side, you've got Daniel Bruhl as Baron Helmut Zero, Frank Grillo as Crossbones and William Hurt (last seen in 2008's "The Incredible Hulk") as General Thaddeus Bolt.

The film will also introduce new heroes such as Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther and Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled for a May 6, 2016 release.
