AT&T has started taking pre-orders for the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Gear watch Tuesday, while T-Mobile prepares for a Wednesday start.

Verizon is not the only network carrier in the U.S. to take Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch pre-orders,  AT&T has also joined the race. Starting today, buyers can book their much-awaited wearable gadget by Samsung. The competition gets tougher as T-Mobile plans on taking pre-orders for Galaxy Gear starting Wednesday.

Sprint, on its part, has not given any details about Galaxy Gear, but is asking buyers to pre-register to get latest updates on Samsung's latest lineup.

Verizon has already been taking pre-orders for a bundle including Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Gear for $600 with a two year contract along with an expected delivery date of October 12. AT&T has the Galaxy Note 3 listed for pre-orders with a $299.99 price tag and two-year contract since earlier this month and is expected to start shipping around October 1. Following the latest announcement, AT&T will also take pre-orders for the Galaxy Gear smartwatch for $299. The wearable tech will be available in two colors, black and white and will be sold without any contract. The shipment for Galaxy Gear will be done along with Note 3 around October 1.

AT&T pushed the great news via its official Twitter account, late Monday.

While AT&T and Verizon are taking pre-orders for Samsung's newest lineup, T-Mobile will also benefit with the early buyers of the Samsung Galaxy Gear and Note 3, starting Wednesday. With its attractive "Un-Carrier" plan, the Galaxy Note 3 will cost $199.99 down with 24 monthly installments of $21. The network says the devices will be shipped out earlier than October 2, which is when both the products will be seen across all T-Mobile stores.

The price for the Galaxy Gear on T-Mobile has not been announced yet but full details will be available Wednesday, on its official site.

Samsung Galaxy Gear is currently compatible with Galaxy Note 3, but the South Korean giant plans on expanding to a wider range of compatible gadgets in the next lineup.
