Iggy Azalea had some choice words for her haters. The Austrailian hip-hop artist joined Demi Lovato onstage while she performed her hit "Cool For The Summer" during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, and Azalea fired back at the critics who bashed her performance on Twitter, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Lovato invited her BFF to perform her rap verse that she provided for the "Cool For The Summer" remix, as previously reported by HNGN. Azalea's guest spot was a last minute surprise in the VMA lineup. But viewers tweeted their gripes about Azalea's spot during the awards show, so much that her named trended worldwide on Twitter, and she responded.

"Its funny to see I was trending [sic] WW, man. haters got SO MUCH to say," she tweeted. "I was only on stage 30 seconds!"

"Wait till my new shi-- drops, [sic] its 4 mins long! hahahahahaha...." she followed up.

There's still no word on when her new material will be released. Azalea announced a break from music back in June, Rolling Stone reported. The artist reportedly has been taking time to work on new material.

"I just feel I deserve a break," she revealed in a statement obtained by Rolling Stone. "I've been going non-stop for the past two years, nearly every single day....I need a break from everything to just enjoy what I worked so hard for, and I don't really feel like I've had a chance to do that. I need a break to figure out what I want my sound to progress to, and I need a break to figure out how I want my visuals to progress."
