Skye has reverted to her birth name Daisy Johnson. Grant Ward has taken over Hydra operations. None of that is good news for the "Skyeward" 'shippers who still hope the Inhuman and the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent will rekindle their romance on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

While Daisy (Chloe Bennet) focuses on the Secret Warriors project, Ward (Brett Dalton) will be seeking vengeance for the murder of his girlfriend Kara a.k.a. Agent 33 who he accidentally killed because she had morphed herself to look like Agent May (Ming-Na Wen).

"Ward fell for Agent 33 last year, and after Daisy had put a couple bullets in him, it sure felt to me like he he'd moved on," executive producer Jeff Bell told TVLine.

Bell isn't giving up on the idea of Daisy and Ward reuniting ("anything is possible"), but right now the chances are slim. The new head of Hydra is "less interested in snuggling with Skye than in getting payback for what happened to Kara."

S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) has given his rookie agent and resident Inhuman a mighty challenge to head up the search for other powered people around the globe so they can be identified in hopes of lending their services to the agency.

Skyeward may be dead, but Bennet and Dalton are still having a good time off screen.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season three will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
