Miyuki Harwood, the Orangevale, Calif. hiker who went missing nine days ago in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, has been found, according to CNN. The 62-year-old woman was found injured, but alive.

Search teams scoured the area on foot and by air for nine days before they finally spotted her by helicopter on Saturday morning, The Sacramento Bee reported. She was found by members of the Fresno County Sheriff's Office in an eastern area of Courtright Reservoir.

The California hiker went missing after separating from her Sierra Club hiking group on Aug. 20. She was last seen on a trail near Horseshoe Lake, and it is believed that she crawled for two days to the spot where she was found, filling a water bottle from a nearby creek to keep her hydrated. She went without food for the nine days she was missing.

When she heard rescue crews nearby, she used a whistle to attract attention, according to CNN. She was very much conscious, and her voice was strong.

Harwood was airlifted to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries, though she did suffer from some broken bones, The Independent reported

She is currently in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
