Donald Trump continued his scathing attacks on Hillary Clinton during a party at Ernie Boch's house in Norwood, Mass. Friday evening, directing them specifically towards Clinton's aide Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner.

Trump told an audience of benefactors at the party that Abedin should not have been given access to the type of information she had during Clinton's tenure as secretary of state.

"So Huma is getting classified secrets. She's married to Anthony Weiner, who's a perv. No he is," Trump said, before imparting his own suspicions that Abedin may have been relaying the information she may have obtained to Weiner, according to NBC News.

Trump then mocked Weiner by taking out his cellphone, pretending to type on it and then said "I love you very much" in a mocking tone, in reference to Weiner's scandal wherein he confessed to sending and receiving sexually explicit messages through texts and Twitter. The scandal caused Weiner to lose his seat on the House of Representatives, The Hill reported.

Clinton spokesperson Nick Merrill immediately came to Abedin's defense, slamming Trump for suggesting that she had relayed confidential information to her husband.

"There is no place for patently false, personal attacks against a staff member. He should be ashamed of himself," Merrill said in a statement posted on Twitter, according to CNN.
