One week after Rosie O'Donnell's adopted daughter was reported missing and later found, the 18-year-old left her family's home once again. She made the choice to leave O'Donnell's house to live with her birth mother.

Last week, O'Donnell reported her daughter was missing and asked her Twitter followers to help find her and her therapy dog, Bear. Chelsea stopped taking her medicine for an undisclosed mental illness and was in need of medical attention, according to Vanity Fair.

A representative for O'Donnell confirmed the news about O'Donnell's adoptive daughter, reported Fox411. "Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother," the rep said. "This was her choice."

Chelsea turned 18 on Monday, Aug. 24 and soon left to live with her birth mother, Deanna (last name withheld), in Wisconsin. Deanna, who gave up the girl in 1997, drove from her home state to pick Chelsea up on Monday afternoon, reported TMZ. O'Donnell reportedly strongly advised Chelsea not to go with Deanna, but she went anyway. O'Donnell has since cut Chelsea off financially and refused to turn her birth certificate and social security card over.

O'Donnell and her ex, Kelli Carpenter, raised three other adoptive children - besides Chelsea - together. The former co-host of "The View" also adopted a daughter with her ex-wife Michelle Rounds.
