Jimmy Kimmel showed us how Facebook looks like in virtual-reality wearing a prototype of the Oculus Rift on one of his episodes of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Instead of scrolling down on a 2-D Facebook news feed, Kimmel's version of 3-D Facebook showed his friends and family members talking to him with their status updates.

First, a guy he hasn't seen since sophomore year of high school shows him photos of his new baby, holding up the images for him to see. Then, a girl named Vanessa actually pokes him with her finger to get his attention.

Rants are typical for Facebook, like how Uncle Ron talked about Canadians who go to the U.S. and steal all the jobs. How about game requests? Of course that will always be part of your Facebook experience. Eugene screams and begs for carrots for his Farmville.

Kimmel removed the Oculus Rift and said, "I don't like it. I don't like the 3-D experience. I am not ready for Facebook in 3-D."

Of course, Kimmel wasn't actually seeing things in VR and it wouldn't look that way when you use the Oculus Rift.

Oculus Rift was bought by Facebook last year for $2 billion believing that virtual reality environment could be the next big social and communications platform, according to Boy Genius Report.
