SSR Agent Jack Thompson will follow Peggy Carter to Hollywood as they kick off their next mission in "Agent Carter" season two.

Chad Michael Murray confirmed his return via Twitter on Wednesday. He's currently finishing production on a movie in New Mexico and will start back on "Agent Carter" soon after.

Thompson and Carter (Hayley Atwell) butted headed for much of the first season, the World War II veteran unconvinced of his female colleague's ability. He eventually learned to respect her talents even though she did knock him out when he suspected her as a traitor.

Water under the bridge.

"Agent Carter" will expand to 10 episodes for season two. The action moves to Hollywood and jumps ahead a few months to 1947. Peggy receives a call to help on a case and relocates to the SSR headquarters in Los Angeles, headed up by Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj).

Jarvis (James D'Arcy) also has relocated to the West Coast to help his employer Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) set up his new business venture, a movie studio, and a new estate. Season two will expand from eight episodes to 10.

Carter and her fellow SSR agents will spend much of the season tracking down their latest foe, Madame Masque, a more modern Marvel villain that the show will adapt for its time period. Producers have cast the role but are remaining mum on the actress' name.

"We've made her an actress, which is very Hedy Lamar. She was a '40s siren actress who was also a scientific genius," executive producer Tara Butters told SlashFilm.

"Agent Carter season two will premiere in January 2016 on ABC.
