Isobel Springett heard a squeaking sound while in her home. When she went outside to check it, she found an abandoned fawn. When the fawn's mother didn't return to retrieve the baby deer, Springett took him in.

Springett owns a great Dane named Kate. When she placed the fawn on Kate's bed, he stopped his terrible whining and found comfort from Kate. The two instantly bonded during their first meeting. The dog played the role as the deer's mother. The fawn was given the name Pippin.

Kate raised Pip as if he was her own puppy and the two became close friends despite their differences and became famous because of their sweet relationship. A book was made by Springett featuring the lovely story of Kate and Pip.

Sadly, Kate passed away in 2014, but her memory lives on with the books, photos and videos that are shared by Springett on Facebook and other social media sites.
