New Zealand opener Martin Guptill's unbeaten 103 runs helped Kiwis to level the three match one-day international (ODI) series by an eight-wicket win over South Africa in their second match at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Sunday.

New Zealand reached to 207 for two wickets in 45th over after bowling host South Africa out for 204, according to News24 Wire. Kiwi pacer Doug Bracewell took 3-31 - his career best ODI figure - to restrict South Africans to a modest 204.

Guptill shared strong partnership of 126 runs with Tom Latham and 67 runs with George Worker to guide the visitors to victory.

From the South African side, middle order batsman Farhaan Behardien posted the highest score of 70 runs while Rilee Rossouw ( 39) and captain AB de Villiers (31) failed to kick-on after getting good start, according to Reuters.

"I do like coming here, it's a great place to go and play cricket," man of the match Guptill said in a post match ceremony, according to Radio New Zealand. "You're confronted with a lot of different conditions and today was completely different to what we've played on before (in the first game of the three-match series) so it was nice to go out there and have a match-winning contribution for the team," he said.

South Africa had won first ODI match at Centurion. The two sides will now play final match at Durban on Aug. 26.
