"Star Wars" fans are rightfully excited for J.J. Abrams' upcoming "The Force Awakens." One source of the excitement of the galactic masses is the impressive cast Abrams has amassed for this film. In addition to "Star Wars" mainstays Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, up-and-comers such as Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley will be joining the "Star Wars" galaxy. Oh, and did I mention Academy Award winning-actress Lupita Nyong'o will be present as well?

Nyong'o turned heads with her powerful role in "12 Years a Slave" and will now be playing the motion capture character of Maz Kanata in "Star Wars." While we've caught glimpses of nearly every other major character from "The Force Awakens," Kanata has remained hidden. Nyong'o says "Star Wars" fans should expect it to stay that way until "The Force Awakens" hits theaters.

"Well, the easy part is you don't get to see me until you see the film. All you get is dots on my face," Nyong'o said at Disney's D23 Expo last weekend.

As we know, leaks and spoilers are inevitable for most films, especially "Star Wars." But with just a few more months to go, we still haven't gotten anything beyond some concept art for Nyong'o's new character. We know the Kanata is a space pirate of sorts who possibly has a base filled with smugglers and other persons of interest. Rumors suggest she will help the new generation of heroes on their quest in "The Force Awakens." But we have no idea what she looks like.

Well played for keeping her under wraps this far. We'll be on the lookout.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on Dec. 18.
