Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Today's rumor is a classic case of something or nothing. It could either be incredibly important or not important at all. I'll let you be the judge.

The Jedi Temple Archives is reporting that a major character from the original "Star Wars" trilogy is getting his own "The Force Awakens" action figure.

"Of particular note, there is an EPISODE VII Darth Vader 3.75' 5POA figure. More on this soon (That may just be the spoiler of the year!)."

Normally, only characters actually in the films get their own toy lines. So could Darth Vader be returning in some form for J.J. Abrams' new film? We know his armor will make an appearance thanks to one particular shot in the teaser trailer.

But how could Vader really make an appearance in "The Force Awakens?" Last we saw of him he was being burned in the funeral pyre on Endor after saving Luke's life and killing the Emperor.

Here's Making Star Wars Editor-in-Chief Jason Ward's take on the matter.

"1. It is a Vader figure and they packed in the burned up helmet to make it work for the line.

"2. Darth Vader is somehow in a flashback sequence from Kanata's Castle where Luke is explained to our heroes.

"3. Perhaps Kylo Ren (or another villain) wears the armor eventually?"

This is all just guess work at this point, and it's entirely possible that Lucasfilm is just making a Vader action figure just to generate more revenue on the heels of the cultural interest in "The Force Awakens." But it's fun to debate ways he might be able to return.
