A family of bears made themselves at home in a Rockaway, N.J. family’s pool, according to ABC TV station 6 action news.

"I thought they would get a drink or just drink out of it for a minute and then move on, but they pretty much started climbing," Tim Basso a member of the the upset family told ABC 7.

Once all the members of the Basso family were inside and safe, Basso's wife began recording the event.

"My first thought was really, where is the dog and where are the kids? They came in, they experienced the pool, they got it, they seemed to enjoy themselves. They did a little bit of damage on the pool toys and floats and whatnot, but all in all I don't think it was a terrible experience.”

The instance is the second time the beasts have invaded bodies of water owned by humans in recent months.

The family called 911, but there was little police could do. The bears left on their own after about an hour.
