New Jersey-based color firm, the Pantone Color Institute, has added 210 new shades to its color system. These shades will be of great use to designers, both in fashion and home interiors, in coming up with their latest creative ideas.

Pantone last had color additions three years ago. "The difference this time from last time is the idea of healthy colors. It speaks to food and how you cook, what you are using, as well as more of the exotica, such as colors that people are understanding better now, like the orange family," said Leatrice Eiseman, the director of the institute, according to Women's Wear Daily.

Indeed, the most prominent of colors in this new batch are in the shades of orange. Orange is set to become the dominant shade for the fall season this year based on recent runway shows. "There's a certain exoticness [with orange] and many other cultures are now embracing the shades of orange. More are appearing on the horizon and people are intrigued. We have dragon fire, exotic orange, aura orange and, what you could cook with, mango mohito," Eiseman added.

Often considered too bright and clashing with other shades so it is hard to wear, the color orange has been a fad on and off, but with Patone's latest approval, orange will become a permanently a wanted color in the fashion world, according to The Guardian.

Some quick tips for wearing orange this fall:

1. Avoid wearing bright orange with black. You only do that when it's Halloween. You can, however, wear orange with gray.

2. Don't wear orange from head to toe. Mix it up with other colors.

3. Orange goes best with white. For accent, add a navy blue into the mix, such as a belt, scarf, bag or shoes.
