The "Real Housewives" franchise will be getting its first transgender cast member. It was recently announced that Nene Leakes would not be returning to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and producers have been trying to find someone to fill her shoes ever since. Their search has landed on transgender model Amiyah Scott, who will now be joining the cast this upcoming eighth season, according to TMZ.

The 27-year-old model has been romantically linked to several rappers in the past and has a huge social media following.

She was born Arthur Scott and started her transition when she was 17 years old, according to The Wrap. She's very open on social media about her transgender lifestyle and about her transition. She's not only a model, but also a makeup guru, beauty consultant and weave specialist who describes herself as a "unicorn with an invisible horn."

She posts a ton of beautiful selfies and promotions for her beauty seminars to her Instagram and is very popular on Twitter, as well.

After the giant year we've had with transgender women like Laverne Cox and Caitlyn Jenner making such a huge difference in the entertainment world, she's bound to be an awesome addition to the show.

Actress Kim Fields from "The Facts of Life" will also be joining "RHOA" this upcoming season, and Kandi Burrus, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield are all set to return, according to New York Daily News.
