Steve Paulson, KTVU's meteorologist, was doing a routine weather hit Monday morning in Oakland when a short and snap 4.0 magnitude earthquake rattled the San Francisco Bay area.

Paulson, live on air, had a momentary, mild, freak out before throwing it back to the main desk, Berkeley Patch reported. The shaking was caught on camera and continues for another 6 to 8 seconds before finally subsiding.

"Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. This is a good one," Paulson said while placing his hand against the green screen, the Daily Mail noted.

KTVU studio is located in Oakland which is close to the epicenter of the earthquake. The shaking of the KTVU building was probably magnified since the land under it is made up of sand and artificial landfill.

A magnitude earthquake hit the East Bay that originated north of Piedmont and 3 miles southeast of Berkeley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

No damage or injuries were reported from the said quake.
