This must be the season for gadget enthusiasts as new iterations of current phone models are introduced one by one, each manufacturer trying to outdo the other. Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ last week and Google is poised to follow in its wake.

Ahead of the introduction of the new Nexus line, however, fans would be glad to hear that, yes, there are recent leaks to quench their curiousity.

The rumor mill started to get worked up when Android Police claimed to have come across reliable information that no Nexus tablet will be released this year. Instead, Google will supposedly launch two Nexus phones, unprecedented in the history of the brand. One of the alleged partners is LG and the device is reportedly codenamed LG Bullhead that contains a 5.2-inch screen that could also contain the same hexa-core chip found in LG G4.

Recent developments seem to confirm LG's participation. A photograph of one of the new Nexus phones, posted by popular blogger Marques Brownlee, resembles an earlier render posted at @OnLeaks that shows a slender device dominated by a protruding camera, laser focus, dual LED and what appears to be a strangely placed button at the back that may be a finger print reader.

Based on the picture, it seems that Google's new device will be made mostly of plastic which may indicate it will be offered as a lower-priced device perhaps along the lines of the Moto G.
