Paul Adelstein is the latest to join what is expected to be a high-paced and fun-filled Season 3 of Scandal.

According to TVLine.com, Adelstein will have a recurring role in the third season.

At this point of the article you should be creating a mental wish list of what type of character he will play because you know Shonda Rhimes isn’t telling anyone.

Adelstien is most recently known for his role as Cooper Freedman on ABC’s “Private Practice.” He is also widely known for his role as Paul Kellerman on FOX’s “Prison Break.”

The 44-year old actor will make his appearance sometime in late October. His wife Liza Weil played intern Amanda Tanner in the first season.

The hype generate around the third season of Scandal has been nothing less than intense. Viewers were left last season with the schocking truth that the man who seemed to be the head villain of Season 3 was none other than Olivia’s (Kerry Washington) Father.

This summer the “Scandal” cast built up some pretty high expectations for the first couple episodes.

Tony Goldwyn (President Fitzgerald Grant) told EOnline he has a line in Episode No. 2 that will “break Twitter.”

Darby Stanchfield who plays Abby told the website, "I have read the first two scripts and I am in shock. There's some amazing flashback stuff that you thought you knew the answers to but it's like ‘Whoa, that's what really happened?!?!''"

If that wasn’t enough, it was reported by Deadline.com that “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow would have a recurring role as a politician—a role that could very well be different from her normal comedic characters.

Season 3 of “Scandal” premieres Oct. 3, 10/9c on ABC.
