Miley Cyrus just released her latest video "Wrecking Ball." The ballad is her newest single from her upcoming album "Bangerz" and features a scantily clad Cyrus who strips completely naked as she rides a giant wrecking ball and licks a sledge hammer.

The 20-year-old singer has been hyping up the video's release on Twitter urging her fans to help her break the VEVO record for "We Can't Stop" which reached 100 million views faster than any video in VEVO history.

"How should I get 'Wrecking Ball' to beat WCS record?" she tweeted. "Should I release track list of #bangerz???"

"Lets beat the VEVO record & ill release my track list for #bangerz," she teased her fans.

She also revealed on the social networking site that the video was directed by Terry Richardson, who is known for his sexy photo shoots. The majority of Cyrus' fans seemed to be on the fence about the sexually charged video. Some thought it was beautifully done while others felt it was just another trashy video the singer put out.

Even industry insiders gave their opinion about "Wrecking Ball," Fox reports.

"After I stopped laughing at the video all I could think was this video screams 'I'm beyond desperate to be shocking, beyond desperate to be sexy and beautiful.' Instead it's ridiculous, not artistic, not meaningful because she's trying too hard to 'pose' for camera and do a Calvin Klein ad for underwear while poorly lip synching and being overly dramatic," Nicole Clark, a media educator told Fox411. "I just can't take her seriously as a singer or a performer in her seriously silly video. It's almost Zoolander because it seems she thinks she's being artistic and serious but her attempt is transparent and laughable. At one point she rubs her nose on the chain and looks absurd."

Other people feel the former Disney star's antics could be a cry for help. Ronn Torrossian, CEO of 5WPR told Fox that he thinks Cyrus is "in the midst of a crash."

"One wonders if Cyrus has anyone counseling her - where is her manager, her agent, her publicist?" he said.
