A TV station in Russia has claimed that Russian president Vladimir Putin's face can be seen in an outline of hordes of birds flying above the skyline of New York City, according to the Washington Post.

TV channel Zvezda ("star" in Russian) pointed to a YouTube video posted by a user named Sheryl Gilbert, which was uploaded on Tuesday. Since Wednesday, it has generated dozens of responses and comments, mostly in Russian, after the station brought it up.

One user wrote: "It's a warning to the U.S. that they shouldn't start a war with Russia," while another one posted in Ukrainian that translates to "Putin bribed American birds."

Gregory West, who claims to be the husband of Sheryl, tweeted a link to the video and captioned it with: "Saw it several days ago during a trip and that's amazing! Can you see the face? Who is it?"

Some users answered that they saw Jerry Mouse, Robin Williams or Steve Jobs. But none of them say that they saw Putin. The Russian president is a heavy fixture in Russian media, with pictures of his face plastered everywhere, from newspapers, book covers and patriotic graffiti to T-shirts.
