The critically-acclaimed, scripted comedy “Odd Mom Out” was renewed for a second season today by Bravo, according to Variety.

In the series — based on creator and star Jill Kargman’s 2007 novel “Momzillas” — Kargman plays a satirical version of herself: Jill Weber, a frazzled mom living in New York City’s tony Upper East Side, who has to deal with annoying socialite mommies and relatives who are snobs. Abby Elliott, Andy Buckley, KK Glick, Sean Kleier and Joanna Cassidy costar.

The first season of “Odd Mom Out” was 10 episodes long, and aired its season finale Aug. 3. The show averaged 958,000 total viewers, according to a Bravo press release, making it the network’s highest-rated new series of 2015.

“Mom and non-mom viewers alike — from Beverly Hills to Brooklyn — have found a spirit animal in Jill Kargman’s hilarious and relatable depiction of a woman struggling to keep up,” said Lara Spotts, senior vice president of development for Bravo Media. “We are excited to bring fans more of this vibrant and highly-entertaining world driven by an amazing cast and creative team.”
