Ken Amante, a nine-year-old boy from the Philippines often noticed stray animals near his home. In the area, there are few shelters for animals and the ones that do exist do not have enough space anymore, Huffington Post reported.

Many stray dogs were hurt or sick and Ken felt bad for them. So, he began feeding them and caring for them. But he felt that it wasn't enough and that he needed to do something bigger.

Hence, he decided to create the Happy Animals Club which is a no-kill, non-profit shelter which he began running in the family's garage. When his story went viral, donations poured in and he was able to pay for vet care and provide high quality food for the animals.

"We got enough money to get the dogs I was feeding off the street, feed them high quality canned food, and provide them with veterinary care," he wrote on his website

He was also able to lease a bigger space to house more animals. The now healthy dogs are already open for adoption, after Ken cared and loved them.

The touching transformation of the animals can be seen at the Happy Animals Club website, where you can also see photos of the puppies and kittens that he saved.
