Even President Barack Obama is eager to discover what the sensational "Game of Thrones" plans for its key character, Jon Snow. Unfortunately, "GoT" director David Nutter opened up to head of state, "Jon Snow is deader than dead."

Snow, played by Kit Harrington, is one of the favorite characters of Obama. The other characters favored by the president have died already. "You keep on killing my favorites," Obama complained to Nutter. The president's prized scene is the Red Wedding, Nutter said during the San Diego "Game of Thrones" Comic-Con, CNET reported.

The fate of Snow is a riddle that has puzzled every "Game of Thrones" fan since Season 5 ended last June 14. The "Mother's Mercy" episode showed Snow being stabbed by his brothers in the Night's Watch. The show ended with everyone's favorite character bleeding on the icy ground.

Harington, who plays Snow, confirmed that his character was not coming back. However, the actor did add, "If anything in the future is not like that, then I don't know about it."

Nonetheless, fans continue to speculate that Jon Snow will come back in the future seasons. Several photos surface online show Harrington still sported the black, shoulder-length, curly hair, which is the mark of Snow.

Harrington was seen at Belfast, where the filming of "Game of Thrones" takes place. The actor had been photographed at the airport around the time the script reading and filming for "GoT" begun. Harrington was reported to have been in Belfast for more than a week ruling out the possibility of him playing a dead body.

HBO has an "In Memorium" sales page that features merchandise of the show's deceased characters.  "GoT" character Stannis Baratheon was confirmed to be dead because a merchandise of him appeared.

Notably absent in the "GoT" Comic-Con were showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, author George R.R. Martin, and Harington. Some people conclude that the four were avoiding Jon Snow questions.

Meanwhile, the San Diego Comic-con wrapped up successfully and was attended by Natalie Dormer (Queen Margaery Tyrell) , Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark).

Others stars included on the panel were Carice Van Houten (Melisandre), Conleth Hill (Varys), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy / Reek), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Hannah Murray (Gilly), and  producer Carolyn Strauss.
