San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested Thursday night, according to Matt Keller of ABC7 News.

Smith was arrested for a DUI, hit and run and more, according to Santa Clara County PD, via Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.

Smith, despite his Pro Bowl talent, has already had a troubled run as an NFL player. He served a nine game suspension last year after a plethora of legal troubles including a 2012 arrest for DUI, a weapons charge after an incident that left him with stab wounds and a second DUI which left him with injuries that robbed him of five games in 2013. As Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk notes, the Santa Clara County Jail's website shows that an Aldon Jacarus Smith was booked early Friday.

Per Alper, Smith's bail has been set at $26,000 but the website does not list a reason for his arrest.

In four seasons with the Niners, Smith has amassed 152 tackles, 44 sacks, five forced fumbles and one interception. He has been to one Pro Bowl and was named All Pro after the 2012 season.
