New Hampshire is the second state to withdraw state taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood after videos of the organization resurfaced. Exposed on the videos are members of the organization involved in trading body parts of unborn babies. Louisiana initially withdrew its Medicaid funding for the clinic through the initiative of Gov. Bobby Jindal, Life News reported.

The Republican-led Executive Council of New Hampshire cancelled funds amounting to $650,000. Democrats have recently defeated a national bill that removes funding for Planned Parenthood.

Democrat Governor Maggie Hassan did not agree with this decision. "Planned Parenthood provides critical primary and preventive health care services to thousands of New Hampshire women, including cancer screenings, birth control and STD testing. Access to these services is essential to the economic security and vitality of our families, and I am incredibly disappointed in the outcome of today's vote," she stated in her press release.

"The council's vote to defund Planned Parenthood will hurt the health and economic well-being of thousands of Granite Staters. Moving forward, I will continue to fight to ensure that women and families have access to the important health services that are essential to the economic security and vitality of our families," she added.

The budget cut will affect one-third of Planned Parenthood's fund in New Hampshire. The organization will still receive federal money, said on WMUR9.

Chris Sununu, GOP councilor has expressed his support for Planned Parenthood but initiates an investigation regarding the activities and practices in their facilities. New Hampshire did not totally revoke family planning facilities in the state as it continues to fund other groups, reported on Live Action News.

"Things are different now," Sununu said. "We have to take a step back and just take a pause and say, 'Is this a company and a business that we should be actively engaging (with)?'"
