LaMarcus Aldridge made the decision earlier this offseason to leave his nine year home in Portland to sign with the San Antonio Spurs. Aldridge was probably the biggest free agent on the market and the Spurs went and got him with a four year $84 million deal. Before signing this deal Aldridge had already made about $86 million in his NBA career so a popular question might be what does he do with all that money. Well apparently Aldridge is planning on building a house in San Antonio, but not one to live in, instead the house will just be filled with all of his shoes according to Slamonline.com.

Aldridge made this announcement at the Jordan Brand "First to Fly" event a couple weeks back but the video is just circulating now. Aldridge is obviously a huge collector of different sneakers and being that he is a Jordan brand member he probably gets plenty of free merchandise from them. Aldridge was signed with Nike for the first eight years of his career but he signed on with Jordan last season according to Winston Harris of ProjectSpurs.com.

This is one of the more outlandish purchases an athlete has made with his millions of dollars but you can't knock Aldridge's passion. Aldridge has said he has about 150 pairs of shoes and because he is a superstar in the NBA he will be able to give them their own separate house.

Aldridge is preparing to play his first season in San Antonio where he is immediately expected to become the focal point of the team. For his career he averages 19.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while making 49 percent of his field goal attempts. If things go well in San Antonio Aldridge may consider making a room in his shoe house for all the rings he hopes to get, who knows there are so many possibilities.
