Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Thanks to a list of rumors and speculative reporting, Making Star Wars recently compiled a detailed scene-for-scene breakdown of the entire plot of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Even more recently, the site's Editor-in-Chief Jason Ward decided to closely examine the film's final act. If Ward's reports are accurate, fans won't be seeing Luke Skywalker until the very end. But this raises all sorts of questions such as where, exactly, has Luke been hanging out all this time?

"We see the 'Resistance Bay' area and the Falcon casts off," Ward wrote. "Everyone waves to the ship. According to our sources, these shots are listed as exterior day shots. When the Falcons heads for the Jedi Monastery, the shots are exteriors and listed as being at night, which is indicative of space (all space shots are listed as nighttime by default). The next shot is a plate shot from Skellig Michael. This shot is listed as day. The rest of the shots of Rey walking up the stone steps and handing the lightsaber to Luke Skywalker are also day. So it implies they went to space to go to another world. I also always believed it was a different planet because Poe and Leia wouldn't need the saber to find Luke if they knew what world he was on."

Luke is rumored to be in self-imposed exile for the majority of "The Force Awakens." If unconfirmed reports are to be believed, he is guarding the tomb of an ancient sith.

It sounds as if he kept this mission a secret from even his closest allies. Why he chose not to reveal his location and how Daisy Ridley's Rey actually finds Luke on this mystery planet remains to be seen. There are still some blanks that could use filling in.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on December 18.
