"Modern Family" is one of the funniest sitcoms on TV as it follows three connected families, constantly leaving viewers wondering what they could possibly do next. It's a whole new type of show that portrays different modern situations that today's families encounter. We've grown to fall in love with each character for their own unique personality; we've learned to accept their flaws and have followed their hilarious relationships for the past six seasons. It was just nominated for an Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy for the sixth year in a row. Now, with season 7 starting soon, we can't help but wonder and be excited to find out what the writers have prepared for us this time.

Season 6 ended with Haley (Sarah Hyland) confessing her feelings for Andy (Adam DeVine) to her father Phil (Ty Burrell). Phil convinces her to follow her heart and tell Andy how she really feels, but Andy doesn't seem to believe Haley could ever feel this way about him, so he's planning on proposing to his girlfriend Beth, according to Cross Map. The series ended with a cliffhanger leaving fans wondering if the two will get together, and it seems like season 7 will hold all of our answers.

"We had it in mind like maybe there would be a funny nanny character for Jay and Gloria," co-creator Christopher Lloyd told Variety about Andy's character. "Maybe a male, potentially a love interest for Haley. What would make that dynamic interesting? What about a guy that's just good, just so uncynical and guileless that Haley can't even understand him to be a human being? So that starts the wheels turning."

Even Julie Bowen, who plays Haley's mother Claire, keeps her family wondering how things will play out between the two. "My own in-laws are in love with that relationship," she said. "They're like, 'Are Andy and Haley going to get together?'"

As for Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) relationship, which may be the one that fans adore most, writers are thinking of shaking things up between these two just to add a little something new to the show. Apparently, while deciding whether or not they want to adopt another child, the two have a huge fight and possibly consider getting divorced, Venture Capital Post reported. The couple may be spending some time apart for the sake of their daughter Lily.

Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons), who was originally played by young twins Ella and Jaden Hiller, was re-cast earlier on in the series as she got older, and now the producers have the same plans for Jay (Ed O'Neil) and Gloria's (Sofia Vergara) son, Joe. The young cast member has been played by toddler Pierce Wallace for the past two seasons, but now they want to cast a slightly older actor to really give Joe a personality, TV Line learned. Apparently, they are looking for a 4-year-old actor to portray Joe as a "rough and tumble" son, making him the complete opposite of his older brother Manny (Rico Rodriguez).
