A circus tent at a Lancaster festival in New Hampshire collapsed on Monday after a severe storm blew through the area. The collapse killed two and injured 15 others, according to the Associated Press.

The names of the deceased have not yet been released, according to WCVB.

A Lancaster hospital spokesman reported that the hospital has received 22 patients so far, according to the Boston Globe.

The accident occurred Monday evening at Lancaster Fairgrounds, an area 90 miles north of the state capital of Concord, according to the AP. When the tent collapsed, 250 people were inside, police officials report.

The state's Emergency Operations Center is currently offering aid to victims of the collapse, according to WMUR.

This isn't the first weather related collapse to occur. On Sunday, one man died and more than a dozen were injured in Chicago when a tent blew off its moorings during a thunderstorm, as HNGN previously reported. The Chicago festival known as Lollapalooza ended early after the incident, according to the AP.

This collapse doesn't have a definitive cause, but bad weather is likely the culprit. High winds, lightning, and hail accompanied this severe summer storm, according to WCVB.

The investigation is currently in its initial stages, officials say.  Authorities are launching an official investigation, but there is no word yet as to whether charges will be filed, according to WMUR.
