To honor the the anniversary of her death, the Duke and Duchess took their son, Prince George, to visit with Princess Diana's family over the weekend, according to EntertainmentWise, the royal family having been spotted boarding a helicopter close to the farmhouse where Lady Sarah lives with her family.

"William and Kate, with six-week old George, were seen boarding a helicopter at Belton Woods country club near Grantham, Lincs - just six miles from the farmhouse in Stoke Rochford where Lady Sarah, 58, lives with her husband Neil, a farmer and former Guards officer," the Express reports.

It's been 16 years since Princess Diana was killed in a car crash, and the Duke and Duchess have remained close with the Spencer family as well as Lady Sarah McCorquodale, the oldest sister of the late princess of Wales, who briefly dated Prince Charles in the 1970s. In June 2012, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Prince William all attended the wedding of Lady Sarah's eldest child, Emily McCorquodale, to James Hutt.

"William is said to be especially close to his aunt - Princess Diana's informal lady in waiting - and the two princes spent their childhoods playing with their cousins," a source told the Daily Mail.

Yesterday, the news broke that the royal couple, who are currently staying at their home in Anglesey, Wales after leaving the comforts of the Middleton manor in Berkshire, will be officially honored by the island when they leave this month. Prince William is stepping down from his role as search-and-rescue pilot at RAF Valley, and the new family will soon return to regular royal duties at Kensington Palace when their future residence, Apartment 1A, completes renovations.

"I have never in my life known somewhere as beautiful and as welcoming as Anglesey," Prince William said in a speech at an agricultural show in Anglesey last month. "I know that both of us will miss it terribly when my [three year] search and rescue tour of duty comes to an end next month and we have to move elsewhere."

However, a palace spokesperson told the Agence France-Presse that "there is a chance that he can still be in a search and rescue force elsewhere around the country."

As for Kate Middleton, she has much to do to prepare her son's Kensington Palace nursery, which she and her husband have reportedly chosen a jungle safari theme to decorate around, and though we got a glimpse of her at her recent public appearance at the 135-mile Ring O' Fire marathon in Anglesey, the world is curious to know when we'll see her son next.

"The next time we see him will be at his christening," ABC News royal contributor Victoria Murphy said"Kate and William want to protect Prince George from the media spotlight as much as possible." And unlike most young couples in the U.K., the Duke and Duchess are raising their son without the help of a nanny, though things may change as their schedules become busier in the future.
