Mariah Carey is finally getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The pop diva will receive the 2,256th star on the Walk of Fame, according to the Los Angeles Times. Carey will receive her star in a ceremony that is set to take place on Aug. 5, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Monday. Guest speakers will include directors Lee Daniels and Brett Ratner, as well as Epic Records CEO and longtime Carey collaborator L.A. Reid, reports Billboard.

Carey is one of the most successful recording artists of all time. She has 18 number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which puts her just one hit song shy of the record held by the Beatles. She has sold more than 63 million albums, making her the third-best-selling female artist in the United States. Carey is currently doing a Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. "Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity" stars the singer performing her number one hits in the order of their release.

Carey's star will be dedicated in front of the W Hollywood Hotel at 6270 Hollywood Blvd.
