Police in South Florida say that a shooting victim was taken by a friend to a local Walmart who left him outside the store instead of taking him to the hospital.

Tania Rues, the spokesperson for the Miramar Police, said in an email that the victim already had a gunshot wound before his friend left him outside the store on Monday afternoon.

The victim was then taken to the hospital for treatment and has been listed being in stable condition. It is unclear who found the victim or who took him to the hospital, according to the Associated Press.

Rues added that the police are currently trying to figure out where the shooting happened, but confirmed that it happened neither outside the store nor the parking lot, according to Fox News.

The store will remain open despite of what had happened and investigation is still going on. No further details were made known at this time, according to WFTV9.
