Authorities say a 28-year-old science teacher from San Pedro, a community in Los Angeles, Calif., that is accused of sexually abusing a student might have found more victims via online postings where she offered private tutoring.

The teacher, Michelle Yeh, took on a short-term teaching assignment with the science department of San Pedro High School in February.

Detectives reveal that she then took one of her 15-year-old students for a private meeting once the school year ended, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The teacher was arrested on July 17 after the boy revealed she had "sexually abused him on several occasions," police said. Yeh was released from jail after she posted a $100,000 bond and is due to go back in court on Aug.12, according to ABC7.

Police fear that Yeh may have had more victims as the teacher had taken numerous teaching assignments and tutoring services within the area. The authorities encourage people to call their offices if they want to impart additional information about Yeh, according to the Daily Mail.
