Utah officials are preparing to prosecute a teacher three separate times- one for each male student she is accused of raping at multiple locations, including a church parking lot, dating back to 2013.

A judge gave the green light on Monday for the triple-rape trials of Brianne Altice, a 35-year-old former English teacher at Davis High School in Kaysville, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Altice allegedly had sex with one of the teen students after she had already been arrested for having sex with the other two. The sex acts allegedly took place at the teacher's home, at a park and outside a church, according to the New York Daily News.

One of the students testified last Thursday he had a year-long sexual relationship with the victim and that she sent him pictures of her breasts last June. The victim, now 18 years old, said he thought Altice was his girlfriend, according to the Daily News.

Altice's bail was revoked in January when a judge learned she allegedly trysted with another student.

She is being held at the Davis County Jail on 14 felony charges, including five counts of first-degree felony rape, two counts of first-degree felony forcible sodomy and three counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse, the Tribune reported.

The teacher is also charged with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and one count of dealing harmful material to a minor.

It was the defendant's lawyer, Ed Brass, who requested the separate trials on the grounds that a single trial would expose his client to extreme prejudice, the Tribune reported.

The trial dates are expected to be set April 9 during Altice's next court appearance.
