The ocean has many surprises, especially for swimmers and divers. Sometimes, some unexpected circumstances occur that aren't pleasing, but there are also sweet and unforgettable moments that one may experience, like a remarkable encounter with creatures from the deep.

A group of divers were out in the sea when snuggly sea lions suddenly came to them. But it didn't just surround them and tried to get close to them because it actually wanted to kiss one of the divers!

In a recent video, the sea lion is seen approaching the diver that seemingly examined his face. Suddenly, the sea lion began kissing the diver- a strange yet sweet way to say hello!

The sea lions were indeed so friendly! In fact, they might have been a little TOO friendly, The Dodo noted.

The video was taken by Julián Bala and was posted on Ocean Reality's Facebook Page on July 9. Since then, it gathered over 1 million views and over 1,500 comments.

Some comments noted the similarity of the sea lions to dogs. Thomas Freeman said that both animals are "curious and playful," while Alexis Bailey said that it "makes her want to hug her dog."

Others said that a shark might come to them while enjoying the sea lions. But one Facebook user, Brittney Mizell noted: "I'm pretty sure they are in shallow enough water to where a great white wouldn't go.... Seals are difficult to catch, that's why great whites wait until they are in deeper waters so they can attack from below (like the videos you see on TV where the shark torpedoes out of the water)."
