Most of the NCIS news this season has been about Ziva’s exit from the show. That is totally understandable since the news was pretty shocking.

However, what about the other NCIS cast members? Well, apparently there’s some information on McGee’s (Sean Murray) new girlfriend, according to TVLine.com.

“NCIS” executive producer Gary Glasberg said squashed any beliefs that Timmy’s new girl Delilah (Margo Harshman) will be a carbon copy of Abby (Pauley Perette.)

“I’d like to believe that maybe he’s drawn to people like that and is intrigued by women like that, but I wouldn’t say that [Abby and Delilah] are that similar,” Glasberg told the website. “They have their differences, that’s for sure!”

While there will be a new girl in McGee’s life, there will also be a new girl on the team. CBS has already created a replacement for Ziva. The replacement comes in the form of a young agent named Bishop.

Glasberg said earlier this month Bishop will be “bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward. She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism.

“She’s traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home.”

It will be interesting to see what Bishop brings to the show. Both Ziva and Kate (Sasha Alexander) brought something unique to NCIS. For many fans there was probably an adjustment period similar to the one between Kate and Ziva. Hopefully for “NCIS” viewers take to the Bishop after Ziva’s departure the same way they took to Ziva after Kate’s departure.

“NCIS” returns Sept. 24, 8/7c on CBS.
