2K Sports released the first current-gen trailer for “NBA 2K14”on Wednesday.

It starts off with LeBron James as expected. The trailer then rolls to people doing their signature moves—Rondo’s euro step, Rubio’s flashy passing, Monta Ellis’s 360 layup—along with other highlight dunks and passes.

We also get to see a few of the new features headed to the game. For example, Josh Smith blocks Danny Granger’s dunk—blocked dunks was something highlighted in the features list. The video also shows Kent Bazemore celebrating on the sideline after a nasty Andre Iguodala alley-oop, a feature known as Bazemoring.

There is one thing that appears in the video that could be an addition to the game or something put into the trailer to make it look good. After Jerryd Bayless dives for a ball out of bounds—and the ref calls it out—he looks as if he’s arguing the call.

This could be one of the 3000 new animations added to the game since it didn’t appear in “NBA 2K13”and if it did, it wasn’t a constant occurrence.

The 3000 new animations could be the most important thing added in “NBA 2K14.” While last year’s game had some annoying things in it as far as on-the-court gameplay (awkward layups, defender’s inability to get around screen’s, certain people unrealistically posterizing others) for the most part 2K Sports has produced outstanding in-game animations.

However, the off-the-court animations left something to be desired. While these new animations may not equal the halftime show many people want, gamers will still appreciated the time the “NBA 2K” team has taken to improve its overall presentation.

“NBA 2K14” hits stores for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 on Oct. 1. It will debut of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later his year.
