Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul plans to make waves in his new role as NBA Players Association (NBPA) president.  The newly-elected president reportedly has already compiled a list of subjects to challenge the NBA on, including flopping fines and dress code changes.

Less than a day into his new gig, Paul appears ready to set the tone of his presidency.  According to TMZ, the 28-year-old All-Star intends to fight the NBA on at least three issues: 1) any proposal by the league to implement HGH testing, 2) flopping fines and 3) dress code.

The NFL's player union is also at odds with HGH testing.  Paul's issue with flopping fines is also somewhat ironic, given his propensity to end up on his back after contact.

Also on Paul's agenda is finding the next NBPA executive director.  While there are candidates, according to ESPN, the NBPA doesn't have a timetable for filling the vacancy.  The age limit of the draft, 19, is another issue left unresolved by the 2011 collective bargaining agreement.

As for taking on the mantle of NBPA president, Paul admitted taking it was something he considered for some time.

"I've been thinking about (running) for a while on and off," Paul told ESPN after being elected the NBPA president.  "I've had a lot of dialogue about it with committee members.  I wouldn't have taken on the role if I was going to do it alone."

Paul believes the directive for himself and the NBPA executive committee is clear.

"For us," Paul said, "it's all about getting our house in order and making sure that everything moves right in that direction."
