While Demi Lovato has been away in Kenya doing charity work and celebrating her 21st birthday, a collection of private photos of the singer have been shopped around to various celebrity websites, and recently Celebslam posted a preview of the alleged "nude Demi photos." If the full collection leaks, how will it affect the star's "X-Factor" career?

"There was a story floating around earlier this week that someone was offering Demi Lovato nude pics to the highest bidder," Celebslam recently posted to their site, explaining that Radar Online turned down the leaker, while they themselves are currently in negotiations with them. The photo leaker claims to have at least 20 personal pictures of the star in a variety of naked or nearly naked poses, and allegedly, the photos were given to the leaker by a former female lover of Lovato's whom she had a brief fling with.

"We have nude/sexual photos of Demi Lovato and was wondering if you would like to buy them," the leaker wrote in to Celebslam. "The girl in the middle row, last pic [see photo below] is our friend and is a girl Demi had a fling with for some time on and off. After Demi got with Wilmer our friend called it off because she didn't like being played, she sent me these pictures that Demi sent her as a joke and I have no use for them. There are about 20 total, not all have indication they are of her except some have her tattoos in ones you cannot see the face."

A preview of the photoset includes a picture of Lovato's "Camp Rock 2" friends, including Chloe Bridges, taking body shots off of her. Another picture shows Lovato kissing her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, while others show the star (or someone that looks like her) revealing her breasts and body.

The photos have created controversy among fans and gossip sites, including OceanUp, who accuses most of the photos of being fake or photoshopped. One fan pointed out that in one breast-baring photo, Lovato's side tattoos are on the "wrong side" of her body.

"These are Demi," the photo leaker wrote to Radar Online. "The collection I have show some nude, including face, some including parts of the body Demi is known for - tattoos, butt, chin. Then, I have pictures of her getting rowdy...I can guarantee you these photos are legitimately of Demi."

Whether or not the photos are real, fake or a collection of real and photoshopped images, many fans worry that their leaking may upset the star, and wonder if them hitting the web will affect her "X-Factor" career. This fall, Lovato will reprise her role as a judge and mentor on the hit singing competition alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio. She will also be joining the cast of "Glee" for season 5 in a new guest star role as Dani, a struggling artist friend of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera), and will reportedly have musical number roles with Adam Lambert.

According to a Radar Online source, the "X-Factor" producers "are not concerned at all that it will affect the show. They would just want to help out Demi in any way they can to help her in the process."

Indeed, "X-Factor" has been very supportive of Lovato so far. During filming of auditions this summer, Lovato's biological father passed away, and the support and condolences Lovato received from who she refers to as her "X-Factor" family helped her through the difficult time in her life.

"The whole cast this year, there's something really special about it and I feel like when we come together I feel like it's actually a family, which is something that's so rare and I feel like something that never happens...especially on these shows," Lovato told OK! magazine this summer.
