Whoopi Goldberg, actress and co-host of the daytime talk show "The View," publicly defended Bill Cosby after an Associated Press report revealed that the comedian confessed to drugging at least one woman with Quaaludes..

After the report was released, stars who supported Cosby through these allegations, like Jill Scott, started to change their tune, as previously reported by HNGN. But Whoopi Goldberg said she still stands by his side during the "Hot Topics" segment of the July 7 episode of "The View."

"This is my opinion, and in America, still, I know it's a shock," Goldberg said. "But you are innocent until proven guilty. He has not been proven. I don't like snap judgments because I've had snap judgments made on me, so I'm very very careful. Save your texts, save your nasty comments, I don't care."

New to the panel on "The View" is former Disney star Raven-Symone, who started her acting career on "The Cosby Show" in 1989 playing Cosby's granddaughter.

"You know, I don't really like to talk about it that much cause he's the reason I'm on this panel in the first place, he gave me my first job," she said about her former co-star. "But at the same time, you need the proof, and then I'll be able to give my judgment."

Quaaludes were a popular sleep aid before it was banned in 1984, Quartz reports. In the 2005 deposition obtained by the AP, Cosby said under oath that he "obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with," as previously reported by HNGN.
