One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles isn't worried about ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift writing songs about him - he expects it. The 19-year-old boy band singer told US Weekly that he is fully aware of Swift's reputation for creating catchy lyrics about former flames.

"It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn't do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experiences," Styles told the magazine.

"At least she's a great songwriter!" he joked.

Styles and Swift, known as Haylor, split in January after a couple months of dating. The 23-year-old songstress previously hinted that her hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble" was about the One Direction member.

At the Brit Awards in February Swift performed a rendition of the song right in front of her ex. She also mocked his British accent during a performance of the song at the Grammys.

"Well, it's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching," Swift told The Sunday Times Magazine a month after her performance at the Brit Awards.

The "22" singer is well aware of her reputation and seems to be ok with it. After one of her breakups she teased fans writing "Back in the studio. Uh oh..."

Swift recently opened up about her many romances telling Rolling Stone that she doesn't want to date a guy she can't make a song about.

"I am getting to the point where the only love worth being in is love worth singing about," she told the magazine Hollywood Life reports. "I think that for me, when you experience something that's worth a song about, chances are it's the same kind of intense feeling that someone has felt."

Here's a list of rumored flames the singer has dated and the songs believed to be about them:

  •  John Mayer- "Dear John"
  •  Jake Gyllenhaal- "All Too Well"
  •  Taylor Lautner- "Back to December"
  •  Joe Jonas- "Last Kiss," "Forever and Always," "Holy Ground"
  •  Cory Monteith- "Mine"
  •  Conor Kennedy- "Begin Again"
