A brown bear at the Minnesota Zoo used a rock to break one of the glass windows of his enclosure on Monday, giving visitors and staff quite a fright, according to Minnesota-St. Paul TV station KMSP-TV.

"One of the bears had a rock about the size of a basketball and managed to break one of the windows," Tony Fisher, the sanctuary's animal collections manager, told ABC News. "At no time was there any danger of the bears getting out since there were still four layers of glass, but we're not going to trust it," Fisher said.

Who knows if the hairy beast was confused by its reflection or truly wanted to wreck havoc on visitors to the national landmark.

Even more strange is that the bear managed to locate a rock at all.

"We thought we had all the rocks out of their exhibit but one of them dug it up somewhere," Fisher told ABC News.
